Ensure the best color selection for UI/UX design
According to my experience, color selection is an important aspect of UI/UX design, as it can have a significant impact on the overall look and feel of a website or application. When selecting colors, designers should consider the following :
- Branding: The colors used should align with the brand identity, such as their logo and other marketing materials (Theme, Business Type). This helps create consistency across different platforms and ensures that the brand is easily identified.
- Contrast: The colors should provide enough contrast to ensure that text and other elements are easily readable.
- Meaning: Colors can have different meanings and associations, both culturally and internationally. Like red is often associated with danger or warning, also we should consider the business type when choosing a meaningful color.
- Mood: Colors can also affect the mood of a website or application. For example, warm colors like orange and yellow can create a sense of energy and excitement, while cool colors like blue and green can create a sense of calm and serenity.
- Accessibility: it’s important to keep in mind that not everyone sees colors the same way, some people are colorblind. So ensure the suitable color will be useful
A friend of mine told its important to choose the primary color and the secondary color using a color wheel
This is a tool for figuring out which colors go well together. The color wheel, which physically depicts the relationships between different hues. So we can select the needed secondary color
